President Donald Trump has weighed in on the potential candidates he may be facing on the Democrat ticket.
Trump shared his thoughts on the chaotic presidential race during an interview with Sean Hannity.
Trump says he believes Democrat President Joe Biden’s “ego” will prevent him from stepping aside.
However, if the Democrats remove Biden, Trump isn’t sweating a matchup with Kamala Harris.
Trump slammed Harris for being “ineffective” as vice president.
Nevertheless, Trump predicts a weakened Biden will continue running for president because of pride.
“Well, we prepared for him, but I don’t think it’s going to matter,” Trump told Hannity.
“We had a great four years.”
A fresh Emerson College poll found Trump leading Harris by six points.
Trump’s lead is extended as Democrats and liberal commentators have warmed to Harris as an alternative following Biden’s disastrous debate performance on CNN.
“I think she’s an ineffective person,” Trump said of Harris.
“She was in charge of the border.
“She’s never been there,” he noted.
Asked about the odds of Biden dropping out, Trump said he believes it isn’t likely.
Trump explained that Biden has too much of an “ego” to quit.
Biden’s family members are also encouraging him to stay put.
On Monday, Biden launched a campaign to crush dissent as Democrats returned from their July 4th recess.
He is urging Democrats to rally behind him as he trashed “elites” in the party.
“It looks to me like he may very well stay in, he’s got an ego and he doesn’t want to quit, he doesn’t want to do that,” Trump said.
“It looks to me like that’s what he wants.
“I think Jill [Biden] would like to see him stay.
“She’s having a good time.”
Trump noted that it’s “getting very difficult to cover for Biden” since his age issues were laid bare in last month’s CNN debate.
“Obviously he’s been sheltered by the fake news media,” Trump said.
Trump said Democrats are too cautious to swap Biden with anyone other than his vice president.
However, Trump believes Biden is standing in the way.
“I think that it will be [Harris], I think they are very concerned about the vote if it’s not her,” he said.
“I mean they’re gun shy.
“They don’t want to do it any other way.
“I’ve actually come to believe that’s what they’re going to do.”
“If he gets out for whatever reason, and I don’t think he wants to get out, but if he gets out, it will be her,” Trump said.
