Trump Scolds Paul Ryan for Falling ‘Into the Democrat Trap’: He ‘Has Always Been a Loser’

President Donald Trump has warned Republicans discussing cutting Social Security they were falling into one of the many “traps” the Democrats lay for the GOP with the American voter.

Trump vowed that if he will protect the vital program if elected again in 2024.

Trump said: “We’re not cutting Social Security. It’s very simple. It’s a simple answer.

“We’re not cutting Social Security.

“We have to protect it. It’s a contract with the people. They go in. They work and they do.

“They put their blood, sweat, and tears into Social Security and then you have a guy like a Paul Ryan or others that want to destroy it. We have a contract.

“There are plenty of places we can take from where it’s waste.

“Look at the Green New Deal nonsense. That’s many times Social Security, what they’re doing with the Green New Deal.

“That is like throwing money out the window. I’m all for the environment.

“I’m an environmentalist in the truest sense.

“But the Green New Deal is like the Green New Hoax. It’s a hoax.

“Then when they talk about Social Security, they’re going to destroy Social Security so they can build more windmills all over the place that don’t work?

“It’s not going to happen with me.

“They fell into the Democrat trap,” he said of GOP candidates who talked about cutting the program.

Trump said:

“I heard that. A couple guys were talking about it, and I said ‘that’s the end of his career.’

“But it isn’t a question of the career. It’s a contract with the people. They’ve paid. They’ve worked.

“They’re entitled to it. There are so many things we can cut that is far more money than we’re talking about. There are so many things.

“You don’t have to cut Social Security. I would never do it.”

Trump also warned the GOP about falling into the Democrat’s abortion trap.

He said:

“Now, I think a lot of Republicans didn’t handle the abortion question properly.

“I think if you don’t have the three exceptions (for rape, incest, and the life of the mother), it’s almost impossible in most parts of the country to win.

“If you don’t have three exceptions—I said to a very nice man running for governor of Pennsylvania, ‘If you don’t have the three exceptions, you can’t win.’

“Same thing with Tudor. She didn’t have the three exceptions.

“I say this to the Republican Party: If you don’t have the three exceptions, because you know the Democrats are radical and they’ll kill the baby at nine months or they’ll kill the baby after the baby is born. Okay? That’s more radical.

“But, you know a 15 or 16 week period of time, but you have to have the three exceptions.

“If you don’t have the three exceptions, you’re destined to doom.

“Well, people need to be smart and you need people who believe in the right thing.

“People do what they believe. If somebody really doesn’t believe in the exceptions, which I wouldn’t understand—rape, incest, the life of the mother, to me that’s pretty easy to believe in—but if somebody doesn’t believe in it then they have to follow their heart.

“But I don’t think they’re capable of being elected other than in certain areas.”

According to Breitbart, Paul Ryan is the chief architect behind the plan to cut Social Security:

Ryan has also developed a new handy plan to—again, as he promoted before and failed, causing irreparable harm to the GOP—cut Social Security. Ryan’s plan, published in the wake of the 2022 midterm elections, focuses heavily on cutting the longstanding program. Ryan is the co-editor of the plan, released through the American Enterprise Institute, which is titled:

“American Renewal: A Conservative Plan to Strengthen the Social Contract and Save the Country’s Finances.”

In it, a collection of essays, multiple authors argue for “rethinking” Social Security.

“Paul’s a loser,” Trump told Breitbart News in response.

“Paul has always been a loser.”
