TV Soap Star Esta TerBlanche Dies Suddenly at 51

Actress Esta TerBlanche, star of the TV soap “All My Children,” has died suddenly, according to reports.

TerBlanche was just 51 years old when she was found dead in her home in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Her unexpected death comes just weeks after hinting she was pondering a return to television.

The actress recently issued a statement saying she was anticipating a possible TV comeback, a move that was “definitely something I would like to get back into.”

TerBlanche was found lifeless in her home in Hollywood.

Reports from TMZ indicate that her family was shocked by her death and is now dealing with the sudden loss.

Best known for portraying Gillian Andrassy in “All My Children,” a show once dubbed America’s most recorded TV show, TerBlanche had become a household name.

It is suspected by medical officials that she may have passed away a day prior to being discovered.

Her passing was confirmed through her manager Annie Spoliansky, who issued a heartfelt statement to People magazine.

Spoliansky conveyed the profound sadness felt over Esta’s demise, remarking:

“We are deeply saddened by this news. As for a personal statement, I’d like to say that Esta was such a kind, loving, giving, and caring person.

“She cared so deeply for all people and animals.”

Her representative Lisa Rodrigo said in a statement on Facebook that TerBlanche died from “natural causes.”

“I was proud to know her and work with her.

“More to come in the days ahead.

“Thank you for the messages so far.

“May she RIP with the angels that she is.”

TerBlanche’s death was confirmed by the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office.

However, the exact cause remains under investigation.

No official cause of death has been made public.

Before her untimely passing, the actress who brought a Hungarian princess to life on the soap from 1997 to 2001 had teased the possibility of a screen comeback.

Even though her character met an untimely end in “All My Children,” she made a poignant reappearance as Gillian’s apparition in the show’s last days.

ABC declared in 2011 that the network would be discontinuing the long-running series after 41 illustrious years.

A tribute account dedicated to the soap expressed condolences by sharing an image of Esta alongside her TV romantic interest Cameron Mathison and a caption that said:

“Rest in Peace Esta TerBlanche.

“Thank you for entertaining us with your beautiful and captivating performance.”

The homage concluded with heartfelt words acknowledging her memorable contribution to the show:

“We will miss you, Princess.”

Daytime Emmy Award winner Vincent Irizarry paid tribute to his late co-star on social media, sharing a snap of himself and Esta and telling fans:

“I’m absolutely shocked and saddened to have learned of the sudden passing of dear Esta Terblanche.

“She was truly a kind, sweet soul, whom I will be forever grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing and working with during our years together on All My Children.

“She left us way, way too soon… RIP, dear, sweet Esta.”
