Two illegal aliens have been arrested over the brutal murder of a 63-year-old Chicago man whose body was found tied up in his own home.
Police revealed that investigators found the man, George Levin, bound with duct tape near his face and mouth in his Norwood Park home on Sunday.
Levin’s body was found on the same day that President Donald Trump’s Justice Department and U.S. border czar Tom Homan led a large immigration enforcement operation in that city.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy that determined Levin died of multiple injuries after being savagely assaulted by the killers.
A spokesperson confirmed that the death was ruled a homicide.
Chicago police revealed that the two suspects in custody are adult illegal aliens.
One is from Venezuela and the other is from Ecuador.
The foreign criminals are believed to have crossed into the United States illegally through the Texas border in the summer of 2023.
Police believe that Levin may have been tricked into meeting with the suspects on a gay dating app.
They said the suspects stole items from him during their encounter.
Levin was likely targeted for a robbery attack.
One of the suspects in custody apparently had been arrested in Chicago on Jan. 12 for allegedly trying to lure children, sources said.
A police report indicated the suspect was released one day later.
Levin was said to be living on the lower level of a home he shared with his sister in Norwood Park.
The area is considered a quieter community that lots of law enforcement and city workers traditionally live.
According to Homan, Sunday’s targeted enforcement efforts in Chicago led to the arrests of dozens of violent criminal illegal aliens.
Those arrested included suspected terrorists, convicted murderers, aggravated sex offenders, members of the bloodthirsty Tren de Aragua gang, and more.
