Two protestors rushed a stage in Manchester, New Hampshire while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was giving a speech before security dragged them away.
DeSantis was there for a fundraiser on Friday night ahead of a possible presidential run in 2024.
The event was a big hit with supporters and the Florida governor cleaned up.
NHGOP Chairman Chris Ager said the event was a “record-breaking fundraiser for the state party.”
“Largest fundraiser in the history of the NHGOP, raising more than a quarter of a million dollars,” Ager said.
“Ticket sales were halted earlier this week after we exceeded planned capacity.”
DeSantis was addressing the when the stage was invaded by two protesters.
“If you looked at governor races, president races, 2010, 12, 14, 16, 18–” DeSantis said right before the protesters made their move to the stage.
The two women chanted “Jews against DeSantis” as they were carried off.
DeSantis carried on:
“Yeah, thank you.
“You gotta have a little spice in the speech, right?
“I mean, you gotta have a little fun.
“Why you’d wanna pay the ticket to get in just to that, I don’t know.
“But different strokes for different folks.”
He said of winning in 2018:
“My view was I may have received 50% of the vote, but I earned 100% of the executive power and I intended to use that aggressively to pursue a conservative agenda.
“We also said from day one, I am gonna lead by conviction and I am not taking polls to tell me what to do.”
