A video has emerged from the New York City courthouse where President Donald Trump’s trial is being played out that raises serious questions about the motivations behind Democrat Attorney General Letitia James’s case.
As Don Trump Jr. appeared in court this week, the cameras caught AG James uncontrollably smirking to herself while staring at the 45th president’s son.
The video casts further doubt about the case brought by James, a career Democrat.

President Trump’s attorney Alina Habba fired back at James, accusing her of trying to advance her career by turning up at court for “the main event” to catch media attention.

On Sunday’s installment of “Sunday Morning Futures” on Fox News, Habba also took aim at James.
The Trump lawyer alleges James’s political motivations are behind the ongoing trial.
“Mrs. James wanted a headline,” Habba said.
“She campaigned on this, remember, before she was even the attorney general.
“That’s how she got the attorney general role,” Habba said.
“She campaigned on Trump, so she had to follow through, and she should really dismiss this case, it’s making her look bad, frankly, and the city needs her attention elsewhere.”
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump issued a fiery rebuke after seeing the video of James smirking.
Trump is pretty pissed off this morning. He does not like Letitia James smirking. 😌😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/Bdythw6fYm

Over the past several weeks, President Trump has made many appearances in court defending the Trump Organization.
The Trump family business has its New York license in jeopardy as James has leveled “fraud” charges against him and his two adult sons, who were named co-defendants in the case.
However, as Trump Jr. was about to give his testimony, the camera in the courtroom caught a glimpse of James looking delighted.
James has been vocal in her opposition to Trump and repeatedly campaigned on prosecuting the 45th president before becoming attorney general.
She has denied her charges against him are politically motivated.
The moment was reminiscent of Judge Arthur Engoron, overseeing the Trump trial, last month striking a pose for the cameras with a giant grin and a comical shrug.
The war of words between Trump, James, and Engoron has been so heated that the judge slapped a “gag order” against the 2024 presidential election frontrunner.
This is in addition to Trump facing four of the Democrats’ politically motivated trials next year.
While running his 2024 campaign, Trump will be fending off federal charges against him brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith regarding his actions leading up to Jan. 6 and his handling of classified documents, the New York case involving Trump’s 2016 hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, and the Georgia case involving efforts to reverse the 2020 results.
The only person who truly deserves to be president is he who remains standing in the face of such adversity.
