Video Shows Plane Dropping Out of Sky in Brazil, Killing All 62 People on Board

A shocking video has emerged of the tragic plane crash in Brazil, revealing the moment the packed passenger jet dropped out of the sky.

The plane carrying 62 people was being operated by the Brazilian airline VoePass.

It crashed in the country’s Sao Paulo state on Friday, reports say.

The aircraft involved in the fiery wreck in a residential area in the city of Vinhedo was carrying 58 passengers and four crew, according to The Associated Press.

Firefighters, military police, and the civil defense authority all dispatched teams to the crash site.

At an event in southern Brazil, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva asked the crowd to stand and observe a minute of silence as he shared the news.

He said that it appeared that all passengers and crew aboard had died.

However, he did not elaborate as to how that information had been obtained.

Images show the fiery wreck of the plane.

Videos reveal that the plane exploded when it hit the ground.

Shocking footage of the incidents shows the plane falling vertically out of the sky.

It appears to plunge downward in a spiral.

Only one home was damaged in the residential area where the crash happened, city officials in neighboring Valinhos have said.

None of the residents were hurt.

The residential area where the plane went down has been sealed off by authorities.

It said the aircraft involved is PS-VPB, a 14-year-old ATR 72-500 built in 2010.

The plane had taken off from Cascavel in southern Brazil at 11.56 am.

It was bound for Sao Paolo.

The last signal received from the aircraft was about an hour and a half after take-off.

During the last 60 seconds of the flight, its transponder was transmitting a vertical speed between -8,000 and -24,000 feet per minute, Flightradar24 said.
