Watch: Hollywood Star Dermot Mulroney Walks Off ‘The View’ during Segment

Hollywood star Dermot Mulroney walked off “The View” during his segment on ABC’s show today.

Mulroney was on “The View” to promote his Disney+ show, Marvel’s “Secret Invasion,” which premiered on Wednesday.

Before leaving the stage, the actor asked the co-hosts if they were getting ready to go to a commercial break.

When Joy Behar said they were cutting to a commercial, he thanked them before walking off mid-segment

“Are we going to break?” Mulroney asked.

“We’re going to break,” host Joy Behar said.

“Sorry,” he said to the hosts.

“First I wanna do this — symbolically in support in solidarity with the writers.

“I’m gonna walk off your show.

“Thank you.

“I’ll see you on the picket lines in July.

“Love. Thank you,” he shouted as he ran off stage.

In a statement to Variety, Mulroney said:

“Since I have such respect for ‘The View,’ a news program with a heart, it was there that I felt comfortable enough to draw attention to the ongoing WGA strike for fair wages and working hours.

“As I find it incredibly important to continue to support the union.”
