Kayleigh McEnany has fired back at Democrat President Joe Biden for his Fourth of July speech where he claimed “liberty is under assault” in America.
During his divisive address, Biden also suggested the country is “moving backward” and that “freedom is being reduced,” alluding to the recent Supreme Court decision.
Biden said: “Our economy is growing but not without pain.
“Liberty is under assault — assault both here and abroad.
“In recent days, there’s been reason to think that this country is moving backward, that freedom is being reduced, that rights we assumed were protected are no longer.
“A reminder that we remain in an ongoing battle for the soul of America, as we have for over 200 years.
“I know it can be exhausting and unsettling.
“But tonight, I want you to know we’re going to get through all of this — for all that we have faced, that we are going to get through this and look how far we’ve come.
“We’re reclaiming our way of life in a pandemic.
“Vaccines are nearly available to every American, restrictions lifted, the Fourth of July together again at the White House.
“And for all the challenges, America has the strongest economy in the world.
“More people are working and starting businesses, more young people graduating from high school and college than ever before,” Biden said.
McEnany blasted Biden over his unpatriotic message.
“I woke up on the Fourth of July my first thought was, I am the most blessed person in the world to live in the greatest country on planet Earth,” she said.
“What kind of maniac wakes up and says, ‘I’m not celebrating this day?’
“I mean, things have not gone my way in this country.
“I was born into a world of Roe v. Wade.
“I hated it, I thought it was the greatest scourge of our nation, and for years have been committed to the pro-life movement.
“Presidency of Barack Obama, the presidency of the aging and decrepit Joe Biden.
“Those didn’t go my way.
“But it didn’t make me less patriotic.
“So why have we gotten to a place in society where people are like, ‘I hate this country because I don’t get my way and I’m going to kick and scream like a four-year-old’?
“It’s because the guy at the top is setting the tone.
“You don’t go to a birthday party, to your point, and say liberty is under assault, freedoms are reduced, this is how I feel about the country,” she said.
