White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said late Sunday night that she has tested positive for COVID-19. She issued a statement that said:
“On Wednesday, in coordination with senior leadership at the White House and the medical team, I made the decision not to travel on the foreign trip with the President due to a family emergency, which was members of my household testing positive for COVID-19.
“Since then, I have quarantined and tested negative (via PCR) for COVID on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. However, today, I tested positive for COVID.
“While I have not had close contact in person with the President or senior members of the White House staff since Wednesday — and tested negative for four days after that last contact — I am disclosing today’s positive test out of an abundance of transparency.
“I last saw the President on Tuesday, when we sat outside more than six-feet apart, and wore masks.
“Thanks to the vaccine, I have only experienced mild symptoms which has enabled me to continue working from home.
“I will plan to return to work in person at the conclusion of the ten-day quarantine following a negative rapid test, which is an additional White House requirement, beyond CDC guidance, taken out of an abundance of caution.”
In other news, the Dems are on a collision course with their own incompetence and the midterms and 2024 hang in the balance. If they botch the bills they are trying to pass, they will have a hard time making the case electing them is worth it. But even more pressing, If Biden goes ahead and pays illegal immigrants $450,000 the Dems won’t win an election for 50 years.

Democrats are setting up a massive December cliff as they punt several key deadlines to the back of the year.
The party needs to fund the government to prevent a shutdown by Dec. 3, and it also faces another debt ceiling crisis that could hit as soon as mid-December, according to an analysis released late last week.
Democrats also bought themselves more time to finish a bipartisan infrastructure bill and the “Build Back Better” legislation by passing a second short-term highway funding stopgap that will also expire on Dec. 3.
“Here we go again,” Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) said about the decision to kick the can, quipping that Dec. 3 “will be a momentous day around here.”
