Co-host Whoopi Goldberg suffered a meltdown on ABC’s “The View” while discussing the new Ten Commandments law in Louisiana.
Louisiana’s new law mandates that all public school classrooms, from kindergarten to state-funded universities, display the Ten Commandments.
On Thursday’s broadcast of ABC’s “The View,” Goldberg raged about the law after it was passed this week.
Goldberg argued that if people wanted their children to see the Ten Commandments on the wall, they should “send them to a religious school.”
“Get out of my school!” Goldberg yelled.
“You’re telling me you’re concerned about children learning things — one of the things that you don’t seem to understand is I have the same respect for my child that I have for yours,” Goldberg began.
“I’m not asking you to believe what I believe.
“I’m not asking your kid to believe what I believe.”
“Public schools public school,” she insisted.
“That means everybody can go to public school. I don’t understand why — if you want your child to have a religious education, send them to a religious school!
“There’s nothing stopping you.”
“Get out of my pocket,” Goldberg said, raising her voice.
“Get out of my body, and get out of my school!” she shouted.
Goldberg also argued that the United States is made up of many religions.
She then asked whether classrooms would also display parts of the Quran or Buddhist teachings.

Co-host Sunny Hostin said that her main concern was that a similar law in Kentucky had already been struck down by the Supreme Court.
“We’re talking about nearly identical laws, and half a century ago they said it wasn’t okay,” Hostin warned.
“What he’s banking on is this reactive, partisan Supreme Court will overturn precedent and say, now, that this is okay.
“We should be very afraid of that.”
Prior to Goldberg’s outburst, co-host Joy Behar argued that anyone who votes for President Donald Trump cannot be considered a real Christian.
Behay said “So-called Christians are gonna vote for” Trump even though, as she claims, “he has broken 11 Commandments.”
“All I know is there are a lot of people who say they’re Christians who are voting for him,” she added.
“It seems ironic that he’s broken every law, of every Commandment, and they think he’s a Christia… he’s the one to vote for.
“What is the matter with everybody?”
