Woman Turns Tables on Carjackers, Shoots Thug Dead with His Own Gun

A woman has turned the tables on a pair of carjackers during a failed attempted robbery, according to reports.

Police revealed that the unidentified Nevada woman was in her car with a female friend as they made their way to a party on November 19.

A vehicle suddenly pulled up in front of their car in North Las Vegas and two armed men reportedly exited.

The two crooks then approached the women in their car.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the female driver was dragged out of the car by one of the men.

The carjacker reportedly placed his gun on his lap while he struggled to start the woman’s vehicle, according to the arrest report.

The woman saw her opportunity, snatched the gun, and ran.

The carjacker allegedly chased the woman and tackled her from behind.

She wasn’t about to become just another victim, however.

During the struggle, the woman shot the violent thug dead with his own gun.

The other criminal then started firing at the woman, according to police.

Thankfully, she was able to escape to a nearby house until police arrived at the crime scene.

In the street, police officers found a man wearing a ski mask who was profusely bleeding from his head.

Officers attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead.

Police said the woman approached them with her hands in the air and a handgun in her pocket.

Witnesses corroborated that the woman acted in self-defense.

The woman was taken into custody but later released after police determined she acted in self-defense.

The other would-be carjacker escaped before law enforcement arrived.

Police later identified the suspect as 18-year-old Jaylin Morrison.

The vehicle used by the crooks for their doomed carjacking attempt reportedly belonged to Morrison’s mother.

According to police, officers obtained a search warrant and discovered ammunition that matched the shell casings found near the dead man’s body.

Detectives said cell phone records placed Morrison at the scene of the crime.

“Detectives said Jaylin was a known associate with the deceased suspect,” KVVU-TV reported.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police successfully located and arrested Morrison on December 2.

He was booked into Clark County Detention Center and held on $50,000 bail.

He was charged with second-degree kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery, attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary with the use of a deadly weapon, and attempted grand larceny of a vehicle.

Morrison is scheduled to appear in court on December 20.

Law enforcement is asking anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers at 702-385-5555.
