LSU star basketball player Angel Reese told Jill Biden to pound sand after the first lady invited the second-place team to the White House alongside the champions.
Biden wanted the 2nd place Iowa women’s basketball team to be invited to the White House in addition to national title winner LSU.
“I know we’ll have the champions come to the White House; we always do,” the first lady said.
“So, we hope LSU will come.
“But, you know, I’m going to tell Joe I think Iowa should come too because they played such a good game.
“It was so exciting, wasn’t it? It was such a great game.
“I’m old enough that I remember when we got Title IX.
“We fought so hard, right? We fought so hard.
“And look at where women’s sports have come today.”
Reese responded to Jill Biden by calling her or her idea “A JOKE” on social media.

The game also ended in controversy, making Jill Biden’s comments even more awkward.
National player of the year, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, did John Cena’s famous “You can’t see me” move (waving a hand across your face) during the Elite Eight win against Louisville.
Reese did the same after LSU won the championship game.
A dumb social media feud erupted over it.
It was so dumb NBA star LeBron James couldn’t resist chiming in.

When the media asked Reese about the dumb feud she correctly told them to pound sand too:
“All year, I was critiqued about who I was.
“I don’t fit in a box that y’all want me to be in. I’m too hood. I’m too ghetto.
“But when other people do it, y’all say nothing.
“So this was for the girls that look like me, that’s going to speak up on what they believe in. It’s unapologetically you.”

Then the feud got even dumber as race entered the conversation.
There was even talk of boycotting the White House visit and going to visit Michelle Obama instead.
The first lady’s press secretary tried to clean up the mess today saying that Jill “admires how far women have advanced in sports since the passing of Title IX.
“Her comments in Colorado were intended to applaud the historic game and all women athletes.
“She looks forward to celebrating the LSU Tigers on their championship win at the White House.”
