5 Dangerous Child Predators Caught Crossing Border Illegally

Border Patrol agents have arrested five child predators who were caught entering the country illegally at separate sectors over the weekend.

Agents arrested the dangerous child sex offenders amid the flood of illegal alien border crossings over the weekend, officials said.

U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Chief Jason Owens said agents in multiple sectors arrested five child sex predators.

The dangerous child abusers were caught crossing the border at the sectors of Yuma, Tucson, El Paso, Del Rio, and Rio Grande Valley.

The illegal aliens had long histories involving the sexual abuse of children.

Owens said their criminal records included sexual assault of a person under 15 years old and aggravated sexual assault of a child.

However, officials warn that only a small number of illegal border crossers are actually apprehended.

Due to Democrat President Joe Biden’s open border policies, thousands of illegal aliens flow into the country every single day without being caught.

The weekend’s apprehension of the child sex predators has highlighted concerns over some 1.8 million “gotaways” at the southern border since the start of the fiscal year 2021.

A “gotaway” refers to someone who is seen illegally entering the U.S. and is not apprehended or turned back.

The arrest of five sex predators at the border came as the FBI warned Monday of a “wide array” of dangerous threats coming from the U.S. border.

Those threats include terrorism, drug trafficking, violent gangs, and smugglers with ties to ISIS.

FBI Director Christopher Wray was asked by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) at a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing to comment on these threats.

Wray admitted that unprecedented numbers of dangerous individuals are entering the United States via the Southern Border.

The FBI chief told senators:

“From an FBI perspective, we are seeing a wide array of very dangerous threats that emanate from the border.

“And that includes everything from drug trafficking – the FBI alone seized enough fentanyl in the last two years to kill 270 million people – that’s just on the fentanyl side.”

“There is a particular network — where some of the overseas facilitators of the smuggling network have ISIS ties that we’re very concerned about,” he added
