Actress Anne Heche’s Condition Far Worse Than Previous Reports after Fiery Crash

Hollywood actress Anne Heche’s condition is far worse than previous reports indicated after she crashed her car into a house on Friday.

A representative for the “Donnie Brasco” star has confirmed that she is in extremely critical condition and currently in a coma.

As Slay News previously reported, Heche was rushed to hospital on Friday suffering from severe burns following the fiery high-speed crash.

She reportedly crashed her Mini Cooper into a two-story home in Los Angeles, destroying the building and causing her car to burst into flames.

The vehicle and the house were both engulfed in a blaze that took 59 firefighters over an hour to extinguish.

A representative for the 53-year-old said over the weekend that the actress was in stable condition, a far cry from a more recent statement.

“At this time Anne is in extreme critical condition,” a rep for Heche said in an update on Monday, according to Deadline.

“She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention.”

“She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident,” the statement added.

Heche reportedly crashed into a garage of an apartment complex on Friday before backing up, speeding off, and eventually crashing into the Los Angeles home.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Heche’s blue Mini Cooper is seen near the garage after the first crash.

The actress appears to be speaking to residents of the complex while still inside her car.

A male voice repeatedly asks Heche to get out of the car, and the actress responds, “no, sir,” the video suggests.

The vehicle in the video then backs up and speeds off.

Video from a home security camera shows the Mini Cooper moving at extremely high speeds down a quiet residential street before crashing into the home.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles Fire Department, the “Six Days Seven Nights” actress barreled into a 738-square-foot two-story home.

The impact has caused “structural compromise” and erupted “in heavy fire prior to LAFD arrival.”

It took 59 firefighters 65 minutes to “access, confine and fully extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure, and rescue one female adult found within the vehicle, who has been taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics in critical condition,” the press release added.

“No other injuries reported.”

As reported by Slay News, Heche was reportedly drinking vodka and downing wine coolers while appearing on a podcast that dropped hours before the crash.

“We each have a bottle in front of us because our friends sent us a bottle Re:Find!” the actress reportedly said on the “Better Together” podcast.

Re:Find is a type of vodka.

“And we are drinking it — with wine chasers,” Heche later added.

The actress, best known for dating Ellen DeGeneres, was apparently slurring her words throughout the podcast, according to TMZ’s reporting.

She also told listeners she was “rocked” by a “very bad day” and alluded to suffering “no good, very bad days.”

TMZ reported that the podcast was posted hours before Heche drove into the Los Angeles home.

The actress’ publicist has insisted the podcast was taped in advance, the New York Post noted.

The Post added that a bottle of Re:Find vodka appears to be in a photo of Heche’s busted vehicle.
