Biden Rushing Executive Order to Force Digital ID onto Americans

During his last few months in office, lame-duck President Joe Biden is rushing to prepare an executive order that will force a new digital ID system onto the American people.

While the digital IDs won’t technically be mandatory, they will replace most essential documents, such as driver’s licenses, and they will be required to access basic services.

The Biden administration is currently laying the groundwork for wider acceptance of digital identifications that will be enforced with executive action before the president leaves office.

The move will fundamentally reshape how citizens access everything from public benefits to online services.

A draft of a forthcoming executive order pushes federal and state governments to massively accelerate the public adoption of smartphone-based digital ID.

“It is the policy of the executive branch to strongly encourage the use of digital identity documents,” the draft states.

The digital ID app will replace most individual documents and will incorporate biometric scans like facial recognition to “help better verify identity online.”

The draft order, if implemented, would also mandate federal agencies adopt a single government-run identity system, Login.gov, as a gateway to federal websites.

The same federal government-controlled system would be used by state and local governments for integration.

Already, 13 states have rolled out some kind of mobile driver’s license program, and more are working toward implementing a digital ID.

However federal action pushing the transition has been delayed.

Digital IDs are a contentious concept primarily because of the concentration of people’s sensitive private information in centralized databases controlled by the government.

That in turn brings up the issues of technical security, but also privacy, and the potential for dystopian-style mass surveillance.

Proponents, on the other hand, like to focus on the “convenience” that such a shift from physical to digital personal documents is promised to bring.

While some states have started this process via digital driver’s licenses, the executive order demands that both federal and state authorities accelerate this transition into mass nationwide digital ID use.

Once the plan is ushered in, digital ID would be combined with biometric data obtained through facial recognition, and other forms of biometrics harvesting.

Centralization of data is a key component of these schemes.

The Biden executive order speaks about making it obligatory for federal agencies to join “a single government-run identity system, Login.gov,” reports say.

Biden initially mentioned such an executive order was coming during his 2022 State of the Union speech.

However, the calls provoked a backlash from opponents of digital IDs.

Yet, despite pushback, Biden is now leaving office in January, so the administration is now rushing to roll out the plan with an executive order.

The plan completely aligns with the agenda of the World Economic Forum (WEF), United Nations (UN), Bill Gates, and other unelected globalists who have been pushing digital IDs for several years.

The plans are frequently discussed at the WEF’s annual meetings, with globalists salivating at the levels of “control” they will have over the general public once digital IDs are enforced.

As Slay News reported in July, WEF officials have been calling on governments to usher in digital IDs for members of the general public.

The WEF argues that “every citizen” should be issued with a digital ID as the world prepares for “cashless societies.”

The new form of ID is part of the digital public infrastructure (DPI) plan being pushed by the WEF, UN, European Union (EU), and Gates Foundation.

While it will initially be used for IDs, DPI will be expanded to also support digital payments via central bank digital currency (CBDC).

The plan to roll out DPI infrastructure with digital IDs is already being tested on a national level in other countries.

As Slay News reported, Bill Gates has been working with the government of India to roll out digital IDs there.

In India, digital IDs are now required to access basic services, meaning compliance is necessary for those who wish to partake in society.

Gates described the system as an “inspiration” that Western nations must follow.
