Republican Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has sent a warning shot to the Biden family by revealing that Congress has a dozen whistleblowers who are ready to testify on dirt they have against the Democrat president’s son Hunter.
Grassley divulged the information to Attorney General Merrick Garland on Wednesday.
He made the revelation during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Garland.
The senator revealed that the breadth of potentially criminal evidence against Hunter Biden has been shared with Congress.
“Recent lawfully protected whistleblower disclosures to my office indicate that the Justice Department and the FBI had at one time over a dozen sources who provided potentially criminal information relating to Hunter Biden,” Grassley said.
“The alleged volume and similarity of the information would demand that the Justice Department investigate the truth and accuracy of the information,” he added.
Grassley revealed that the sources are ready to expose dirt while asking hypothetical questions about protections for whistleblowers who match the description of the people who came forward to his office.
The senator asked Garland what steps the Department of Justice (DOJ) has taken to determine the truth and accuracy of the information given to Grassley’s team.
“Congress and the American people I think have a right to know,” Grassley said.
Garland largely refused to give detailed answers about the active investigation into Hunter Biden.
Instead, the AG deferred the questions to Delaware’s U.S. Attorney David Weiss.
Garland said any information about Hunter Biden should have gone to Weiss and the “FBI squad” assisting him.
