Closing Arguments for Trump’s ‘Hush Money’ Trial Scheduled for Next Week

It’s been a long and winding road of injustice in New York for President Donald Trump and his supporters.

However, it now looks as though there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Trump’s “hush money” trial in Manhattan is now officially coming to an end.

According to Breitbart, “Trump’s defense has rested in the New York business records trial, and closing arguments are set for Tuesday, May 28, 2024.”

Liberals have done their best to sap as much time, energy, and money from Trump as possible in New York.

Nevertheless, Trump is still standing, at least for now.

Democrat Judge Juan Merchan, the Biden donor who is overseeing the case, said that Memorial Day factored into his desired schedule for the rest of the case.

However, we seem to have a pretty good idea of how the rest of Trump’s business records trial will go.

After Trump’s defense rested after questioning Michael Cohen’s former advisor, Robert Costello, Merchan laid out the plan for the rest of the trial.

The closing arguments were set for May 28.

Merchan seems to have wanted to start the closing arguments sooner.

He said that the Memorial Day holiday would make it impossible to get everything done in time to resume the trial before the Spring holiday.

Merchan admitted he’s had to delay proceedings, because “there is no way we can do what needs to be done in any cohesive manner” before the holiday.

The judge allocated one day in trial for the closing arguments of the prosecution and the defense.

He “hopes deliberations will start on Wednesday, May 29,” according to the New York Times.

This trial has been full of many surprises already.

For example, many people in America were expecting to see Trump take the stand and testify in his own case.

His lawyers weren’t as sure though, even telling Judge Merchan right before the defense presented its case that Trump still hadn’t made up his mind on whether or not he would testify.

Trump decided not to testify, and it may have been one of the smartest decisions he could have made.

America will be shocked if all twelve jurors decide to convict Trump.

The trial has been a sham from the very beginning, mostly because of the witnesses that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg called to the stand during the trial.

The prosecution was counting on “star witnesses” Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen to turn the jury against Trump with salacious testimonies.

However, almost the exact opposite happened.

Daniels and Cohen were exposed as complete frauds in front of America, signaling to us that we can’t trust anything they say.

During his testimony, Cohen even admitted to committing crimes that were more serious than what Trump is charged with.

The jurors in the courtroom would presumably see the show trial for what it is.

Trump hopes that the ruling will ultimately reflect that.

However, the trial has been taking place in deep blue New York City so we should expect the unexpected.
