CNN has dealt embattled anti-women host Don Lemon a humiliating blow in a major shakeup by picking a woman to be his new boss.
Lemon recently insulted every woman in America when he said:
“A woman is considered to be in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”
Lemon will now be taking orders from Lauren Mensch,
Mensch and Chris Russell were named as Executive Producers of Lemon’s failing show “CNN This Morning.”
Mensch will serve as executive producer and showrunner, leading the editorial direction and overseeing control room execution to bring the show to air every weekday morning from 6-9 am ET.
Russell joins CNN to executive produce during dayside and evening hours.
“In just over four months, CNN This Morning has become a destination for top newsmakers and is well positioned to grow under the leadership of Lauren and Chris, who bring years of experience producing exciting and relevant morning television,” said Ryan Kadro, Senior Vice President of Content Strategy.
“With the recent additions of broadcast producers Carolyn Cremen and Rachid Haoues to our talented senior staff, we’re building a dynamic team to help the show evolve and succeed heading into a major election news cycle.”
The news comes as Hollywood has finally turned on Lemon.
As Slay News reported, Lemon was humiliated at the Oscars last night over his anti-women rhetoric.
Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh made history last night becoming the first Asian actress to win the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in “Everything Everywhere All At Once.”
During her historic acceptance speech, the 60-year-old Malaysian-born Yeoh called out Lemon for claiming that women of a certain age are not “in their prime.”.
“This is proof that dreams, dream big, and dreams do come true,” Yeoh said.
“And ladies, don’t let anybody tell you you’re ever past your prime.”
