Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) has slammed the Democratic Party and Hollywood stars for using radical rhetoric to promote the idea of “civil war” ahead of the midterms.
Gabbard, a Lieutenant Colonel who served in the Iraq War and is currently a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve, blasted the Democrats for trying to compare political opponents to terrorists around the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Speaking on Jesse Watters Primetime Gabbard, a 2020 Democrat presidential nominee, said: “I feel sick right now seeing you play these different clips.
“You know, I, like so many of my fellow service members, I enlisted because of those Jihadist attacks on 9/11 to support and defend our Constitution, to protect our fellow Americans, and to go after and kill those who attacked us on that day.
“And it is despicable and outrageous to hear these people, to hear these people, say the things that they’re saying, comparing our fellow Americans to terrorists — actually worse.
“They literally said they are worse than Al Qaeda terrorists.
“This just shows how far they are willing to go, targeting our fellow Americans as worse than Al-Qaeda terrorists, all to hold onto their power.
“That’s all they care about,” Gabbard asserted,
“Whether you’re talking about the Biden administration, these talking heads on TV, U.S. senators, the Department of Homeland Security, the people who are some of the most powerful people in our country, who have the strings of the national security apparatus at their fingertips, targeting our fellow Americans, just because they didn’t vote for Joe Biden, all because they need, they want to hold on to power.
“This is outrageous and should be concerning to every single American.
“And we’ve got to see right through what they’re doing.
“The timing of this is not an accident.
“We are just weeks away from the midterm elections,” the former congresswoman noted.
“They are concerned that they will lose the seats that they have.
“And so they’re, again, not caring about the consequences and the destruction to the country and the heart of the American people, willing to foment this fear to say, ‘Hey, don’t you dare vote for these Republicans, because they voted for Trump, and they are traitors and they’re a greater threat to our country than Al Qaeda jihadists’,” she said.
As Slay News has reported, Democrats have been actively supporting and funding the same GOP candidates they call a threat to Democracy.
Meanwhile, the Democrats’ leftist allies in Hollywood have been pushing the noting of “civil war” onto the public.
As Slay News reported last week, “comedian” Kathy Griffin appeared to warn Americans that they will face “civil war” if they “vote Republican” in the looming elections.
“If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November,” Griffin tweeted,
“If you do want Civil War, vote Republican.”

She was immediately called out by reporter Kristina Wong who said: “This sounds like a threat.”
Griffin then tried to blame “MAGA blue checks” for the backlash against her comments.
“You guys,” she said.
“The maga blue checks are at it again.
“Because they are constantly threatening Civil War, they are now trying to suggest that I am the one who is threatening a Civil War.
“Because you know, that’s my thing.”

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also weighed in on Griffin’s remarks, saying:
“This is WRONG.
“Crazy Hollywood Leftie threatening ‘Civil War’ if Dems don’t win.
“Sadly, this is today’s Left: angry, hateful & violent.”
Meanwhile, Democrat President Joe Biden gave a speech on the anniversary of 9/11 over the weekend where he tried to draw parallels between the War on Terror and defeating MAGA.
“It’s not enough to gather and remember each September 11th those we lost … because on this day, it is not about the past, it’s about the future,” Biden said.
“We have an obligation, a duty, a responsibility, to defend, preserve and protect our democracy.”
Biden’s invocation of the duty to “protect our democracy” is an allusion to his administration’s efforts to demonize supporters of President Donald Trump.
The Biden admin is trying to tie a handful of Jan. 6 rioters to peaceful MAGA protesters charged with federal crimes such as trespassing and parading without a permit in the Capitol building.
The White House is stretching this argument even further by tying January 6 rioters and the 74 million law-abiding Trump voters who cast a ballot in the 2020 election.
The move appears to effort to create a smear that suggests anyone who supports Trump or his political allies is a “MAGA Republican” who wants to “attack our democracy.”
Democrats used the solemn occasion of the 9/11 anniversary as just another opportunity to smear millions of law-abiding and peace-loving Americans as a “threat to democracy.”
According to Gabbard, this is all part of a desperate attempt by the Democrats to “hold on to power.”
