Twitter/X boss Elon Musk has spoken out to defend the Second Amendment rights of the American people.
In a post on X, Musk declared that an armed populace is essential to the nation’s freedom.
Musk was responding to a post that laid out several recent events that have proved the importance of gun ownership.
The post, from the popular X account End Wokeness, argues that events in recent years are pushing people to buy more guns.
“The past 3+ years have been one long infomercial for the 2nd amendment,” the tweet noted.
The post then listed recent events that have encouraged citizens to arm themselves:
- Lockdowns and vax mandates
- Months of race riots and looting
- Police are defunded, crime rages
- Soros DAs let criminals roam free
- Millions of illegals storm the border
- Hillary calls for re-education
- MAGA is labeled domestic terrorism
- Hamas paragliders massacre festival
- Large support for Hamas in the West
- BLM calls for decolonizing of America

Musk replied to the post saying:
“As tragic as the mass shootings are, armed citizens are essential to the defense of democracy.”

This isn’t the first time Musk has declared his support for the Second Amendment, however.
As Slay News reported last month, Musk shared a video of himself shooting a gun on social media and declared that he has “an arsenal of weapons.”
The video quickly went viral, racking up millions of views in just a few hours.
“I have an arsenal of weapons, most of which I bought in California before they changed the law to make it impossible to do so,” Musk posted.
“I’ve hip-fired a 50 cal while walking.
“Might have the video somewhere.”
Just for the record, my boots are 20 years old and my hat is ten years old.

Musk then followed up with the video he mentioned.
“Hip-firing my Barrett 50 cal,” Musk wrote on X when sharing the video that features slow-motion footage of him shooting the weapon.
The slow-motion footage is followed by a brief segment that appears to play at regular speed as Musk fires off a few more rounds.

In November last year, Musk also shared a photo of two handguns which he said were on his “bedside table.”

Musk shared the image of the guns next to his bed shortly after he purchased Twitter.
After acquiring the social media platform, Musk has to beef up his security due to an increase in death threats he received over his free speech plans for Twitter/X.
