Fox News Host Smears Anti-McCarthy Republicans as ‘Insurrectionists’

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade has smeared those opposing Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for the House speakership as “insurrectionists.”

The term is often used by Democrats and their allies in the media to trash President Donald Trump’s supporters in Congress.

It’s based on the false premise that Trump supposedly led a so-called “insurrection” against the U.S. government.

However, the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol wasn’t an “insurrection,” nor was it led by Trump.

Nevertheless, the label is still used by the Left to smear those who question the regime.

On Thursday, Kilmeade upped the ante and declared that the GOP representatives “who don’t want to vote for Kevin McCarthy” to become Speaker of the House are “insurrectionists.”

“I probably shouldn’t use that word,” Kilmeade said, walking it back.

“Saboteurs,” his co-hosts interjected.

“Saboteurs,” Kilmeade said in the affirmative.

“They’re making the Republicans look ridiculous,” co-host Pirro said on Fox News show “The Five.”

“I like Kevin McCarthy!”

“This is an embarrassment,” she continued.

“They’re egomaniacs who’ve got no answers and they ought to just be quiet and just go along with the majority at this point!”

Meanwhile, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) labeled the anti-McCarthy Republicans “terrorists” and domestic “enemies.”

Republican Jewish Coalition CEO Matt Brooks also smeared the GOP rebels as “infidels” and threatened them with “consequences.”

As of Friday morning, McCarthy failed to become speaker in 11 separate votes.
