Ireland Targets Farmers with ‘Green’ Laws, Joining Canada & Netherlands

Ireland has joined Canada and the Netherlands in targeting farmers by introducing crippling new “green” laws, despite the mounting threat of global food shortages.

Irish leaders have announced they will be cracking down on farmers with severe carbon emissions cuts.

Dutch farmers have been protesting for weeks after their government instituted a new “green” plan that will bankrupt the farming industry and disrupt food supplies in Europe.

As Slay News previously reported, the country’s opposition leader Geert Wilders released a bombshell letter showing that the Dutch government wants to use expropriated agricultural land for asylum centers.

Ireland’s green agenda-loving government is now set to follow suit by imposing an emissions cut of around 28 percent on farmers, a report has claimed.

Farmers in Ireland may soon be forced to make potentially damaging changes to their businesses as climate alarmist ministers within the Irish government look set to slash the sector’s emissions to impossible levels, according to Breitbart.

Officials within the Irish government have been haggling over how badly to hammer the country’s farms with green legislation for some time.

The move comes despite the visceral reactions to the curbing of nitrogen emissions from farmers in fellow EU member-state the Netherlands.

Dutch farmers have been protesting en masse due to the damage the EU-inspired restrictions will cause to their businesses.

According to a report by The Times, Ireland’s Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue, has already agreed to force a cut of either 27 or 28 percent on the country’s farming sector.

The move will cause significant disruptions to local businesses.

This past week Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also announced that he is moving forward with a plan to reduce Canadian fertilizer use and bankrupt farmers.
