Republican Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) has said that “it sure looks like” Democrat President Joe Biden “was involved” in his son Hunter’s shady foreign business dealings.
Jordan appeared on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures” and told host Maria Bartiromo that Hunter’s deals were part of “a family operation.”
“One, it sure looks like Joe Biden was involved,” Jordan said.
“This was a family operation, including his uncle, as I said before.
“Remember what Joe Biden said in the debates 18 months ago, he said he didn’t do anything wrong and Hunter wasn’t taking money from business interests with connections to China.
“There are 4.8 million reasons why that statement Joe Biden made was not accurate because we know he took $4.8 million from CEFC, the Chinese energy company.
“So yeah, this ties in the entire family,” the congressman continued.
“The left always tries to always say, ‘Oh, there’s these right-wing conspiracies.’
“The real conspiracy here was the Democrats, big tech, big media, keeping this story from the American people just days before the most important election we have.
“The election for president of the United States, the election for who’s going to be the commander-in-chief, and you have a family involved with all kinds of foreign business interests, and we don’t get to hear that story.”
“That letter they wrote where they said, this has all the earmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign, that letter became the basis for big tech and big media to suppress this story and keep it from the people in the run-up to our most important election,” he said of the 51 intel officials’ letter.
“Frankly, if the American people put us back in power, I think we owe it to them to give them the truth about Hunter Biden and the Biden family profiting off of foreign interests and keeping that information from the American people,” Jordan said.
Chuck Grassley told CBS News he too is concerned with what he is finding out about the Biden family business dealings.
“We have people with the Biden name, dealing with Chinese business people that have a relationship to the Communist Party,” Senator Chuck Grassley, the ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee.
“I think James Biden was very much a part of this.”
“These records we got are the first records that have ever been made public on this issue. Nobody else has them,” Grassley said before adding that after three years of investigating the Biden family he found James and Hunter’s business dealings “very concerning.”
Robert Weissman, president of the advocacy group Public Citizen said:
“I think Hunter and James Biden should not have entered into those relationships, full stop.
“To the extent those occurred while Joe Biden was the vice president, there’s a worry that they hope to get something direct from the Obama administration.”
