Jeanine Pirro Shames New York DA Alvin Bragg for ‘Taking Side of the Criminal and Not the Victim’

Judge Jeanine Pirro has called out Manhattan’s “woke” District Attorney Alvin Bragg for charging a bodega clerk with murder in a clear self-defense case.

As Slay News previously reported, Jose Alba has been charged with second-degree murder for defending himself from a career criminal who violently attacked him in his store.

Security footage shows longtime thug Austin Simon charging behind the counter and attacking Alba over a bag of chips.

Mr. Alba was forced to use a knife to stab Simon to defend himself during the attack.

However, in what should have been a clearcut self-defense case, Alba has been charged with murder by Bragg, who was installed by radical billionaire George Soros.

“This case is a microcosm of what’s going on in America today,” Pirro said.

“The victim is seen as someone who should be ignored and the criminal is the one who’s being protected.

“In this situation, what you have is someone who doesn’t have a criminal record, who goes to work at noon and then comes home at three in the morning or some crazy time and you’ve got a dirtbag career criminal, two prison stints, eight at least felony arrests.

“He jumps over the counter, throws the bodega owner into a chair, pushes him, curses at him, then pulls him out of the chair, while he’s cursing at him starts attacking him and then the bodega owner in self-defense takes the knife out stabs him, kills him, that’s called justification.

“In New York state, if you are faced with deadly, physical force and you are reasonable in your belief that you are going to be harmed, based upon these circumstances, then you have the right to defend yourself.

“But you’re right, it is a Rittenhouse case.

“The problem with this in New York is everybody walks free.

“You use a gun in New York, you walk free.

“This guy Alvin Bragg, he doesn’t deserve the title District Attorney.

“They’re taking the side of the criminal and not the victim.

“This is a victim who’s been charged with murder, now has to go through the justice system and the grand jury to prove that he’s the victim and it’s all on tape.”
