In a stunning display of gaslighting, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried desperately to defend Joe Biden’s use of the word “bloodbath” while simultaneously trashing President Donald Trump for the same “violent rhetoric.”
During Tuesday’s White House press briefing, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre why it was ok for Biden to use the term “bloodbath” in 2020.
Doocy pointed out that when Trump uses it in a similar context, the Democrats, White House, and corporate media claim it constitutes “violent rhetoric.”
When Trump used the word, he was discussing a “bloodbath” of job losses in the auto industry.
The Democrats and Team Biden deceitfully edited a clip of Trump’s comments and told the American people that the 45th president was threatening violence if he didn’t win the election.
The hoax about Trump’s comments was quickly debunked and discredited but has still been used by Democrats to attack their main political opponent.
However, the use of the word “bloodbath” has often been used by Democrats and the corporate media in a similar context.
Biden used the term when he was referring to the 2020 primary campaign becoming an internal “bloodbath” between Democrats.
It’s the same metaphorical use of the term, meaning a disastrous outcome that is good for no one.
When grilled by Doocy about this double standard, Jean-Pierre’s response was shocking.
“So when Donald Trump is talking about a bloodbath, it is violent rhetoric,” Doocy stated.
“What was it when Joe Biden said in 2020, ‘What we can’t let happen is this primary become a negative bloodbath?’”
Jean-Pierre began:
“You should read what he said in its context.
“So you gotta read what he said in context —”
“I understand,” Doocy interjected.
“Bloodbath is an ugly word when Trump used it.
“What is it when Biden uses it?”
Jean-Pierre continued:
“No, no, no. Let’s be very clear.
“You gotta actually ask me the question in context of what it was said, right?
“And what it was said when he said that, right, in his remarks, in his speech.
“So that’s being disingenuous in your question.”
Doocy shot back:
“I’m reading a direct quote from Joe Biden: ‘What we can’t let happen is let this primary become a negative bloodbath.’”
Amazingly, Jean-Pierre tries to defend the context of Biden’s comments, despite it being similar to Trump’s remarks.
“He was talking about a group of people,” Jean-Pierre claimed.
“A group of people. That’s what he’s talking about.
“What the president was talking about during the primary was not to allow it to be — the words and the primary and that election — to become negative.
“Two different things. They’re not the same. They’re not the same.
“And your question is disingenuous,” she alleged.
After twice calling Doocy disingenuous, Jean-Pierre then deceitfully suggested Trump was talking about stoking a violent uprising.
“And so — look, I’m gonna be really mindful here,” she said.
“I’m gonna be really careful.
“We have to denounce violent rhetoric, which, wherever it comes from — a former leader — we have to denounce that.
“Because we saw what happened on January 6. We saw what happened there.”

Jean-Pierre also again repeated that the term “bloodbath,” especially if used in the context of immigration is “violent rhetoric” that “puts our fellow Americans in harm’s way.”
