Kristi Noem Humiliates Democrat Senator Andy Kim, Schools Him on Border Security

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem dropped the hammer while facing partisan Democrats during her confirmation hearings for President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) secretary.

Noem faced the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Friday morning.

As reported by The Gateway Pundit, Noem’s performance was a testament to her poise, knowledge, and professionalism.

However, it also served as an embarrassing display of unpreparedness from Democrat Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ).

Noem has served as governor since 2019 and previously represented South Dakota in the U.S. House of Representatives.

While trying to catch Noem out, Kim’s questioning revealed his shocking lack of understanding about border security and constitutional authority.

Kim began by citing the appointment of Tom Homan as Trump’s Border Czar.

He asked Noem, “Who’s in charge of the nation’s borders?”

A question so elementary it hardly required a response.

Without hesitation, Noem clarified that under the U.S. Constitution, the president holds ultimate authority over national security, including border management.

Kim sheepishly admitted that her response aligned with what he expected but claimed he was “confused” because of Homan’s role.

Noem patiently explained that while Homan has been tasked with overseeing enforcement, she, Homan, and other officials work under the president’s directives.

Her clear, concise response underscored Kim’s lack of preparation.

The moment was a stark reminder of the gaps in understanding among some Democrat lawmakers regarding basic governmental functions.

The exchange didn’t end there, however.

Kim continued digging his own grave by launching into a lengthy monologue expressing concern that Homan’s role might overshadow Noem’s responsibilities.

Remaining composed, Noem reassured him that she had no issues collaborating with Homan under Trump’s leadership.

Her response once again highlighted her competence and understanding of the role, leaving Kim visibly flustered.

For New Jerseyans, this display from Senator Kim might give pause.

If this level of confusion and lack of preparation is what they can expect over the next six years, the Garden State may be in for a rough ride.
