During an appearance on propaganda network CNN, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) accused Fox News of having repeatedly “spread lies.”
Without a hint of irony, Cheney complained to anchor Jake Tapper on CNN’s “The Lead” that Fox is intentionally spreading fabricated claims.
Tapper said, “You’re being polite about Fox but in the book, you note that they have spread numerous lies.
“Not only the $787.5 million settlement that they had to pay to Dominion but that thing that they ran on Fox Nation, whatever it was called, ‘Patriot Purge’ or whatever.”
“Yeah,” Cheney responded, without mentioning CNN’s track record.
“You know, I think that there’s no question that they’ve played a damaging and dangerous role in spreading the big lie.”
Tapper said, “You used to work for them.”
“I used to work for Fox,” Cheney replied.
“And in many ways, you know, I remember my time at Fox was a time when Charles Krauthammer, was alive, was with us, was one of the leading voices, maybe the conscience of Fox News.
“Of course, sadly, we’ve lost him.
“But the extent to which time and time again they have spread lies, clearly our media has a hugely important role to play here.
“I hope that Fox will begin to come around.
“I hope that they recognize the power that they have and the importance of the truth.”

The comments from Cheney came as she was bashing President Donald Trump with false claims about the event surrounding Jan. 6.
Cheney has been doing the rounds on corporate media TV over the past week as she seeks to paint Trump as an “insurrectionist.”
As Slay News reported, Cheney has been trying to convince the American people that Trump allegedly plans to install himself as a “dictator.”
Cheney is predicting that Trump will turn the United States into a dictatorship if he wins a second term in 2024.
The former congresswoman even made the bizarre prediction that Trump would refuse to leave office at the end of his second term.
Cheney is a vocal Trump critic who was forced out of the Republican Congress over her views on the 45th president.
Nevertheless, she is doubling down on her anti-Trump agenda.
She insists that she would do “whatever it takes” to stop Trump, even if it means voting for Democrat President Joe Biden.
This position is surprising considering large numbers of Democrats now saying they won’t vote for Biden.
“A vote for Donald Trump may mean the last election that you ever get to vote in,” she told NBC’s Today.
“A vote for Donald Trump is a vote against the Constitution.”
