Megyn Kelly Warns CNN and Jeff Zucker: ‘Come Clean or This Is Gonna Get Ugly’

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly has warned CNN and disgraced Jeff Zucker “to come clean” about the ex-network boss’s relationship.

Kelly noted that the timeline Zucker gave on his affair with Allison Gollust does not match and it will “get ugly” when the truth comes out.

Speaking during her SiriusXM show, kelly said: “If they are still misleading, they need to come clean.

“If he began this affair a long time ago, prior to promoting her to being an executive vice president of the company, this is gonna get ugly.

“This is gonna get ugly for him, and it’s gonna get ugly for her, and for others at CNN.

“You cannot have an affair with an underling and continue promoting them up the line over other people without making that very clear.

“He should have had nothing to do with overseeing her or having her report to him if, in fact, they were lovers.

“That’s very clear,” Kelly said to her podcast guest Melissa Cronin of Radar Online – the outlet that first broke the story.

Cronin said: “We are only seeing the beginning of what is going to become an even bigger scandal.

“None of that is normal behavior for underlings and their bosses.

“They need to get honest about what was really happening, and if they don’t, other people are going to do it for them.”

According to The New York Post:

Multiple sources have told The Post the affair stretches back to when Zucker and Gollust both worked at NBC in the late 1990s. Zucker left for CNN in 2010, and soon brought Gollust to join him there after she spent time working for then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Kelly said earlier:

“To those confused re: why J. Zucker’s affair w/an employee is a big deal: let’s imagine that it actually began earlier than they say.

“That he was sleeping w/her while promoting her up the ranks over other qualified folks.

“That he made her an EVP w/o disclosing any of it. Problem?

“Zucker’s relationship with Gollust went on for years, and what he did to keep her near him (as he kept advancing her up the line) will be even more stunning to the CNN newsroom.”

Zucker said when he resigned in disgrace: “As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo’s tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years.

“I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years.

“I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t.

“I was wrong. As a result, I am resigning today.

In a statement, Gollust said:

“Jeff and I have been close friends and professional partners for over 20 years.

“Recently, our relationship changed during Covid.”
