Netflix Co-Founder Calls on Biden to Step Down So Democrats Can ‘Beat Trump’

Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings has become the latest high-profile Democrat megadonor to call on President Joe Biden to step down.

According to Hastings, Biden needs to step aside so that Democrats can run another candidate who can “beat Trump.”

In an email obtained by the New York Times, Hastings reportedly warned that Biden cannot defeat President Donald Trump.

“Biden needs to step aside to allow a vigorous Democratic leader to beat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous,” Hastings wrote.

Hastings, along with his wife Patty Quillin, have been notable donors to the Democratic Party.

The are among the Democrats’ biggest funders in deep-blue California.

In 2021, Hastings donated approximately $3 million to a committee created to stop a recall effort against California’s Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom.

In 2022, Quillin was one of many people who donated to a left-wing group hoping to stop George Soros-funded liberal San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin from being recalled himself.

Several media outlets and even some Democratic figures have called on Biden to be replaced in the presidential election following a rough performance in his first debate against Trump.

One of them included the New York Times editorial board, who called Biden a “reckless gamble.”

“Mr. Biden has been an admirable president,” the board wrote.

“Under his leadership, the nation has prospered and begun to address a range of long-term challenges, and the wounds ripped open by Mr. Trump have begun to heal.

“But the greatest public service Mr. Biden can now perform is to announce that he will not continue to run for re-election.”

The article continued:

“There is no reason for the party to risk the stability and security of the country by forcing voters to choose between Mr. Trump’s deficiencies and those of Mr. Biden.

“It’s too big a bet to simply hope Americans will overlook or discount Mr. Biden’s age and infirmity that they see with their own eyes.”

Meanwhile, it’s not just Democrats who are panicking about Biden’s chances for re-election.

Asd Slay News reported earlier, Biden’s “very frustrating and angering” debate performance last week has sent anti-Trump Republicans scrambling into panic mode.

Several Never-Trumpers have been complaining to the liberal corporate media about their “shock” at the realization that Trump will likely win re-election in November.

They have been expressing serious doubts about Biden remaining at the top of the Democrat ticket ahead of a likely rematch with his predecessor in November.

Former Republican Becky Hofer told CNN of her devastation after watching part of Biden’s historically disastrous debate with Trump last Thursday.

“It was terrible,” Hofer told CNN during a segment Wednesday.

“So yeah, I think [Biden] needs to be replaced, if for anything, just out of respect for his humanity,” she added.

Yet, despite witnessing the trainwreck debate, Hofer emphasized that she would still vote for Biden over Trump.

“Right now, if these are the two options that we have in November, I’ll vote for Joe Biden’s head in a jar before I’ll vote for Donald Trump,” Hofer said.

Hofer continued by warning that, if Trump wins the November election, she will leave the United States.

“I’m angry, and I mean I’m angry, to the point where if Joe Biden stays on the ticket and Donald Trump is still on the ticket I’m fast-tracking moving to Costa Rica,” she warned.
