NYC Democrat Mayor Eric Adams Accused of Sexual Assault

New York City’s embattled Democrat Mayor Eric Adams has just been hit with a lawsuit over allegations he sexually assaulted a woman in 1993.

The lawsuit accuses Adams of sexually assaulting a former colleague and seeks at least $5 million in damages.

It was filed just before the deadline for the Adult Survivors Act.

The unidentified accuser filed a summons in civil court late on Wednesday night.

It was first reported by The Messenger.

At the time, Adams was 33 and working as a captain within the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

The accuser names Adams as a defendant along with the NYPD’s transit bureau and Guardian Association.

“Plaintiff was sexually assaulted by Defendant Eric Adams in New York, New York in 1993 while they both worked for the City of New York,” claims the 3-page summons.

It which does not give more detail on the alleged assault.

The filing alleges “sexual assault, battery and employment discrimination on the basis of the Plaintiff’s gender and sex, retaliation, hostile work environment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

It continues by demanding damages of no less than $5 million along with attorneys’ fees.

City Hall was quick to deny the allegations, however.

“The mayor does not know who this person is,” a spokesperson said.

“If they ever met, he doesn’t recall it.

“But he would never do anything to physically harm another person and vigorously denies any such claim.”

The accuser has yet to make a public statement.

The Adult Survivors Act (ASA)was signed into law by Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul in May last year.

It removed the usual time constraints to sue over alleged sexual assaults for a one-year period.

The law opened the floodgates for a torrent of civil lawsuits against powerful men, including Bill Cosby.

At least 2,600 claims have been filed in state courts under the ASA.

Several lawsuits were brought this week against such high-profile defendants as Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose, Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr., and celebrity photographer Terry Richardson.

Adams, 63, has never been married but has a 27-year-old son, rapper Jordan Coleman, with his ex-girlfriend, Chrisena Coleman.

Coleman, 59, and Adams split up when their son was still a toddler.

Adams is currently in a relationship with Tracy Collins.

Collins is the senior youth development director of the NYC Department of Education and is considered the de facto first lady of the Big Apple.

The news comes as Adams battles a federal corruption investigation.

Adams is being investigated for contributions made to his campaign by interests colluding with the Turkish government.

The mayor is also accused of pressuring the city’s fire department to give the Turkish government a permit to open a cultural center even though there were major violations of city codes.

The FBI raided the home of one of Adam’s top aides recently, as Slay News reported.

They also seized Adams’ phone and other electronics last week.

Once a darling of the Democratic Party, things have taken a turn for the worse for Adams since he started publicly calling out Democrat President Joe Biden over the crisis at the Southern Border.
