A scientist has unveiled a radical new plan to fight the alleged “impending catastrophe of climate change” by blocking out the Sun from space using a giant “solar shield.”
According to István Szapudi, an astronomer from the University of Hawaii, plunging large parts of the world into darkness by blocking sunlight from reaching Earth is the best way to tackle the so-called “climate crisis.”
Szapudi’s plan involves attaching a gigantic umbrella to an asteroid to block “energy from the Sun” from reaching the planet’s surface.
He argues that the radical plan will save the planet from “global warming” by drastically cooling the Earth.

István Szapudi, an astronomer from the University of Hawaiʻi, argued his far-fetched concept was merely an enormous ‘solar shield’.
The shield – which would be made of the ultra strong ‘wonder material’ graphene – would block energy from the sun and cool down our planet.
Szapudi’s paper on the subject has been published by the renowned Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), a peer-reviewed journal of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).
“In Hawaii, many use an umbrella to block the sunlight as they walk about during the day,” Szapudi said.
“I was thinking, could we do the same for Earth and thereby mitigate the impending catastrophe of climate change?” he explains.
However, Szapudi doesn’t explain how his “solar shield” could be stopped from blocking the Sun if the plan to stop the world from ending climate armageddon didn’t work.
While the project may sound radical to most rational thinkers, Szapudi’s plan comes amid emerging calls from prominent “experts” to block the Sun’s light from reaching the planet.
As Slay News has reported, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has been funding plans that involve blocking the Sun’s rays using solar geoengineering.
The scheme would lower the planet’s temperature and allegedly combat “global warming.”
Gates has also previously backed a major project at Harvard using balloons to deploy aerosols.
However, the Gates-funded tests at Harvard “were put on hold after some pushback.”
Radical billionaire George Soros is also promoting a dangerous new technology that seeks to fight “climate change” by blocking heat and light from the Sun to cool Earth’s global temperature.
Soros touted the plan during his address at the Munich Security Conference in February.
According to Fox News, Soros boasted that he had discovered a process where white clouds are created to reflect sunlight away from the planet’s surface.
He claims the technology will help to prevent ice sheets from melting.
Ice sheets melting in Greenland in particular, he claimed, could doom human civilization.
“Our civilization is in danger of collapsing because of the inexorable advance of climate change,” Soros said.
“The melting of the Greenland ice sheet would increase the level of the oceans by seven meters.
“That poses a threat to the survival of our civilization,” he continued.
“I wasn’t willing to accept that fate, so I tried to find out whether anything could be done to avoid it.”
“Unless we change the way, we deal with climate change, our civilization will be thoroughly disrupted by rising temperatures that will make large parts of the world practically unlivable,” Soros added.
The plans from Soros and Gates have also received significant backing from global governments.
As Slay News reported, the European Union (EU) has thrown its support behind Gates’ radical plans “fight global warming” by blocking light from the Sun.
The EU will join an international globalist effort to examine the effectiveness of the plan.
Several nations’ governments are joining unelected bureaucratic agencies to determine whether a large-scale intervention such as deflecting the Sun’s rays or changing the Earth’s weather patterns are viable options for “fighting climate change.”
Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration has also expressed support for the plans, as Slay News reported.
Biden’s White House announced that the administration is considering a proposal to block the Sun in an effort to meet global green agenda goals to cool the planet.
The Biden admin made the announcement in a report published last June.
In the report, the administration asserts Biden’s commitment to tackling the alleged “climate crisis.”
“Climate change is already having profound effects on the physical and natural world, as well as on human well-being,” the report warns.
“These effects will only intensify as greenhouse gas concentrations rise and warming continues.
“Understanding these impacts is crucial to inform decisions regarding the potential role of SRM in mitigating the hardships associated with climate change.”
Meanwhile, critics are warning that such drastic plans may have unforeseen side effects, such as altering vital rain patterns or cooling Earth too much and sending the planet into an ice age.
Some scientists have called for an international non-use agreement on such solutions.
Other experts, meanwhile, argue that reports of a “climate crisis” are a hoax designed to stoke fear in the public in an effort to raise taxes and restrict freedoms.
Nobel Prize-winning scientist Dr. John Clauser has spoken out to warn the public that the “climate crisis” narrative being pushed by the global elite and their allies in the corporate media is a hoax.
Clauser, the co-winner of the 2022 Nobel Physics prize and one the world’s leading authorities on quantum mechanics, blasted “climate emergency” claims as a “dangerous corruption of science that threatens the world’s economy and the well-being of billions of people.”
Clauser, who was also awarded the 2010 Wolf Prize in Physics, the second most prestigious physics award after the Nobel, warns that misguided climate science is a hoax that is being driven by “massive shock-journalistic pseudoscience.”
“In my opinion, there is no real climate crisis,” he declared.
As Slay News previously reported, renowned environmentalist Dr. Patrick Moore, a co-founder of Greenpeace, is also warning the public that the anti-carbon dioxide narrative is a scam.
Moore, an ecologist and environmental activist for more than 50 years, argues that an increased level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is beneficial.
According to Moore, claims that climate change is “human-caused” are “propaganda” which he describes as “dangerous.”
The comments from Moore, a leading expert in environmentalism, directly conflict with the green agenda being pushed by Biden’s administration and globalist groups such as the United Nations (UN) and World Economic Forum (WEF).
Moore says that environmentalism has been hijacked and the movement has “abandoned science and logic in favor of emotion and sensationalism.”
“When Greenpeace began, we had a strong humanitarian orientation, to save civilization from destruction by all-out nuclear war,” Moore said.
“Over the years the ‘peace’ in Greenpeace was gradually lost and my organization, along with much of the environmental movement, drifted into a belief that humans are the enemies of the Earth.”
