President Donald Trump has spoken out to denounce Joe Biden’s controversial anti-free speech “Disinformation Governance Board.”
Biden’s Department of Homeland Security recently announced the new board which seeks to censor online information that’s deemed “disinformation” by the left-wing federal government.
Many have dubbed the taxpayer-funded board the “Ministry of Truth” after the government propaganda department in the George Orwell novel “1984.”
“I think that it’s not even believable that we’re talking about this subject, if you want to know the truth,” Trump said of the board.
“Now they’re saying, ‘Oh, no, it’s just a recommendation.’
“That’s where it all began. I guess that’s what they used to say in Russia.
“That’s what they said in the Soviet Union, right?
“We’re just going to do a little bit – no, we can’t do that, we can’t do that.
“That’s a horrible thing,” Trump said.
“Imagine the media uproar if Donald Trump decided to administer a Ministry of Truth?”
Trump was also asked about Mike Pence’s chances if the former VP ran for president in 2024.
“If Mike got in, I think it’d be a hard one for him,” Trump said.
“I think it would be a hard one.
“I understand where the base is. I love the base.
“The base loves me. I think it’d be hard, but Mike was a good guy.
“I thought he was a very good vice president. He was my friend.”
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is introducing a bill to shut Biden’s new censorship board down.
“This kind of stuff is terrifying,” Boebert said.
“We in Congress have the power of the purse.
“It is our duty to shut down this department immediately.
“I’m calling on leadership in the Republican Party, Leader McCarthy, Whip Scalise, and others, to join me in calling for this department to be shut down and defunded.
“No tax dollars should go to where Biden can use the power of the federal government to silence truthful stories like Big Tech did with the Hunter Biden story.
“This really is a department of propaganda.
“To say that the federal department has a say in what’s right and what’s wrong.
“What’s truth and what is not.
“This is a very dangerous place that we’ve come to.”
“Democrats took that book not as a warning, but as a guide,” she said of George Orwell’s “1984.”
White House press secretary Jen Psaki defended the Disinformation Governance Board making the claim that Biden was just continuing a policy from former President Donald Trump’s administration.
“We know there has been a range of disinformation out there about a range of topics, I mean, including COVID for example, and also elections and eligibility,” Psaki said.
Former Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is warning that Barack Obama is behind the entire thing.
“Biden is just a front man,” Gabbard said on Twitter Sunday.
“Obama, April 21: social media censors ‘don’t go far enough,’ so the government needs to step in to do the job.
“Six days later, Homeland Security rolls out the ‘Ministry of Truth’ (aka Disinformation Governance Board).”
Biden blames Trump for soaring inflation, and Putin. Of course. Because he can. Media blur the admin’s debt magnet giveaways, stimulus, toss in student loans, the midterms stink bait.
