White House Confirms Biden Will Attend Trump’s Inauguration

President Joe Biden will attend the inauguration of his successor in January, the White House confirmed.

Biden and the outgoing first lady are planning to attend President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, White House spokesman Andrew Bates revealed.

“The president promised that he would attend the inauguration of whomever won the election,” said Bates.

“He and the first lady are going to honor that promise and attend the inauguration,” he continued.

“He views that as an important demonstration of commitment to our democratic values, and to honoring the will of the people, as we continue to provide an orderly and effective transition.”

Biden and Trump met at the White House two weeks ago.

The meeting came following Trump’s victory over failed Democrat candidate Kamala Harris in the presidential election.

Both leaders had promised that there would be a smooth and peaceful transition of power in January.

“Politics is tough, and in many cases, it’s not a very nice world,” Trump said.

“But it is a nice world today, and I appreciate it very much.

“A transition that’s so smooth, it’ll be as smooth as it can get.”

However, incoming First Lady Melania Trump may not be so welcoming of the Bidens.

As Slay News reported, Melania Trump recently turned down an invitation from First Lady Jill Biden to meet at the White House.

Sources reportedly close to Melania cited the Biden-Harris administration’s FBI raid on the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.

Melania Trump believes Joe Biden’s authorization of the raid on her home crossed a line.

Mrs. Trump did visit and toured the White House with then-First Lady Michelle Obama following the 2016 election.

However, Melania has refused the invitation from current White House residents because she reportedly thinks “the Bidens are disgusting.”

“She ain’t going,” a source told The New York Post.

“Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer.

“The Bidens are disgusting. …

“Jill Biden isn’t someone Melania needs to meet.”

After the chaos of the 2020 election, Trump didn’t attend Biden’s inauguration.

Trump maintains that the 2020 election was stolen by the Democrats.

His last tweet before being banned from the old Twitter was his announcement that he wouldn’t be attending.

“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th,” Trump tweeted on Jan. 8, 2021.

Biden responded harshly at the time.

He told reporters that Trump’s absence would be a “good thing” and “one of the few things he and I have ever agreed on.”

“He exceeded even my worst notions about him,” he said.

“He’s been an embarrassment to the country, embarrassed us around the world.

“He’s not worthy to hold that office.”
