Rittenhouse Proved Right as Murder Charge Dropped against NY Bodega Worker Jose Alba

Kyle Rittenhouse has been proved right after he urged wrongly-accused New York bodega worker Jose Alba to remain hopeful that justice would prevail.

Alba was arrested and charged with murder after he killed a violent attacker in self-defense.

As Slay News previously reported, security footage clearly showed Alba being attacked in his store by a violent thug.

Manhattan’s “woke” District Attorney Alvin Bragg finally moved to drop the murder charge filed against the Alba following a widespread backlash over the case.

The DA’s office said it had filed a motion in Manhattan Criminal Court to dismiss the case against the 61-year-old bodega worker because it found it couldn’t prove the “defendant was not justified in his use of deadly physical force.”

The DA wrote: “One potential defense is that Alba reasonably believed that Simon was about to use deadly physical force.

“The law provides that a person may use deadly physical force to defend oneself if the person reasonably believes that another person is using or about to use deadly physical force.

“Simon’s conduct in entering the store’s small, private area, throwing Alba against the wall to a place he could not escape, and grabbing him by the collar could inspire deep fear in an older and shorter man as to what might be in store next.

“This was also in the context of the girlfriend saying five minutes earlier that her boyfriend was going to ‘come down here right now and f–k you up’,” the DA wrote.

As Slay News was first to report, Rittenhouse broke his silence with a message of hope to Jose Alba.

“Self-defense isn’t a crime,” Rittenhouse insisted.

“Don’t give up hope Jose, I am living proof that the truth can prevail.”

Shortly after Alba’s arrest, “Outnumbered” co-host Kayleigh McEnany weighed in on the case.

She remarked that the move to charge Alba with murder was “sick” and “twisted.”

“I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone,” McEnany said at the time.

“What kind of sick, twisted place are we sitting in here in the middle of New York City, where this man who is defending himself is put in jail?

“[The attacker Austin] Simon came back reportedly about 10 minutes later with a mission to confront this individual, as you point out, shoved him against a wall.

“As you point out, grabbed him on the back of a neck. And all he did was defend himself. Alba has no criminal history. He’s just a good, hardworking person who immigrated to this country and has been a law-abiding citizen.

“Thank goodness we live in a country that’s trial by jury. I hope these charges are dropped,” she said.

The attacker, Austin Simon, who has an extensive criminal record, walked into the store and violently attacked Alba.

During the attack, video footage also shows Simon’s girlfriend stabbing Alba with a small knife.

Simon was a career criminal and his prior arrests include robbery and assault.

He had also served time in state prison on a 2016 conviction for assaulting a police officer.
