Tucker Carlson Gets Revenge as Fox News Suffers Worst Ratings Since Pre-9/11

Fox News is continuing to see its ratings sink like a stone after firing network star Tucker Carlson.

As Slay News reported earlier, Fox has already been hit hard after the move to cut Carlson.

The company’s stock and viewer numbers have plummeted.

However, Fox News is now seeing record-low viewer numbers as people across the country boycott the network.

CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy broke down the stunning numbers:

“I think it’s also noteworthy, Anderson, that without Carlson in the 8 p.m. hour over at Fox News, the ratings over there are really collapsing.

“Last night, in the key advertiser-supported, coveted 25 to 54 demo, they saw the worst ratings since pre-9/11.

“That’s a really staggering drop over at Fox News.

“The hour before it actually rated higher than the 8 p.m. hour, which is something of an anomaly over at Fox – something certainly that never happened when Tucker Carlson was in that hour.

“And so, I think as we’re watching this, it’s really interesting to see the ramifications it’s having at Fox and also at the smaller right-wing channel, Newsmax, which is seeing its ratings surge,” he said.

Tucker Carlson broke his silence last night by posting a video statement to social media.

Carlson aired his video during his old time slot taking a swipe at Fox.

He got over 55 million views and counting, drawing the audience size of any cable show.

“Good evening it’s Tucker Carlson,” he said.

“One of the first things you realize when you step outside the noise, is how many genuinely nice people there are in this country.

“Kind and decent people, people who really care about what’s true, and a bunch of hilarious people.

“A lot of those. It’s gotta be the majority of the population.

“Even now. It’s heartening.

“The other thing you notice when you take a little time off is how unbelievably stupid most of the debates you see on television are.

“They’re completely irrelevant. They mean nothing.

“In five years we won’t even remember that we had them.

“Trust me as someone who has participated.

“And yet at the same time, the amazing thing, the undeniably big topics, the ones that will define our future get virtually no discussion at all.

“War, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources, when was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues?

“It’s been a long time,” he said.

“Debates like that are not permitted in the American media.

“Both political parties and their donors reach a consensus on what benefits them.

“They actively collude to shut down any conversation about it.

“Suddenly the United States looks very much like a one-party state.

“That’s a depressing realization, but it’s not permanent.

“Our current orthodoxies won’t last. They’re brain-dead.

“Nobody actually believes them.

“Hardly anyone’s life is improved by them.

“This moment is too inherently ridiculous to continue, and so it won’t.

“The people in charge know this, that’s why they’re hysterical and aggressive.

“They’re afraid,” he warned.

“They’ve given up persuasion, they’re resorting to force, but it won’t work.

“When honest people say what’s true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful.

“At the same time, the liars who have been trying to silence them shrink as they become weaker as the iron law of the universe.

“True things prevail.

“Where can you still find Americans saying true things?

“There aren’t many places left, but there are some and that’s enough.

“As long as you can hear the words there is hope. See you soon.”
